Electrical characteristics

Rated power: 5000 VA
Maximum load current: 20 A
Adjustment range: 0–300 V
Supply voltage: 220 V
Frequency: 50/60 Hz
Warranty: 2 years

In case of unstable network or inductive load, it is recommended to purchase SUNTEK VATRs with a technological reserve. PF and current may increase above the calculated values.

Design and connection features

The 5000 VA model is equipped with two load connection options:
Socket on the body - for connecting consumers with a current of up to 10 A
Terminal block - for power connections, with a current of up to 20 A (recommended for loads of 2 kW and above)

❗ Important: When connecting a powerful load through a regular socket, overheating and failure are possible. For currents over 10 A, it is necessary to use a terminal block.

Additionally:

The circuit breaker is built into the housing
Front panel: LCD display, adjustment knob, circuit breaker, socket, terminals - everything is visible and accessible
Housing: metal, with ventilation and two side handles for carrying

Delivery: completely ready for connection

Digital indication

The LCD display shows:
Input voltage
Output voltage
Current strength
Power factor (PF)

Color scheme: blue - input, green - output, red - current, white - PF

What is important to know about current and PF
PF (power factor) - reflects the efficiency of consumption.
At PF < 1, especially on inductive loads (motors, transformers), the current may be higher than expected.

PF = 1 → 5 kW = ~20 A at 220 V
PF = 0.7 → 5 kW = ~32.4 A, which exceeds the limit of the device

Therefore:

Recommended active load — up to 3.5–4 kW
Connect inductive load only via terminals and with a reserve
Monitor the current on the display, not just the voltage

Calculation example
Load: laboratory welding unit, 3000 W, used at 220 V, PF = 0.65
→ Full power: 3000 / 0.65 ≈ 4600 VA
→ Current: 4600 / 220 ≈ 20.9 A
